2011 First Saturday Paddle Schedule

The Stones River Watershed Association sponsors the Stones River Relay
the first Saturday of April, traveling from the headwaters on Short
Mountain to the Readyville Mill in Cannon County. We continue the
first Saturday of each month, paddling successive sections until we
reach the confluence with the Cumberland on the first Saturday in
November.

Go the distance. Travel the length of the Watershed from Short
Mountain to the Cumberland River.

April 2: Headwaters on Short Mountain to Readyville Mill
May 14: Readyville Mill to Browns Mill
June 4: Browns Mill to Walter Hill
July 2: Walter Hill to Mona
August 6: Mona to Jefferson Springs
Sept 3: Jefferson Springs to Long Hunter
Oct 1: Long Hunter to Percy Priest Dam
Nov 5: Percy Priest Dam to Cumberland River

September Event Notes:
Jefferson Springs via Fate Sanders to Long Hunter State Park. This a
still water paddle of about 8.5 miles. We will break for lunch after
about 4 miles at Fate Sanders Boat Dock. No need to bring a lunch;
there is a restaurant there. After lunch we will paddle the remaining
4.5 miles to Long Hunter State Park. Time is 9 AM to 4 PM. To view a
